About Vince:
Vince Converse is a true blues man. Having signed professionally out of high school, Vince toured internationally with Sunset Heights, and later, independently, as he played with some of the world’s greatest musicians. After a decade-or-so hiatus, Vince is charging back on the scene in a true comeback attack, armed with a small fleet of axes and a sober lifestyle. Stronger and more inspired than ever, he is finally putting together the music he “has always wanted to create” with his band, Vince Converse and Big Brother. His style is funky and gritty, with both classic and new-blues appeal. Vince’s stunning guitar solos, hypnotic slide sections, and electrifying arrangements create a truly one-of-a-kind blues experience.

Today, Vince is a heavy-hitter on the Denver Blues scene. With his husky, heavy voice and his powerful command of the craft, Vince has everyone whispering, holy sh*t this guy’s legit all show long. He has a distinct sound - a pure, straight-shot tone that travels through the room, leaving audiences hypnotized. He leads the way from slow blues to full funk jam and back again- building up the energy with untouchable guitar solos and adventurous musical detours, breaking it down again. Blues lovers longing that deep, Southern sound will not be disappointed. Vince can take a swinging crowd to a hushing halt when the slide hits the strings.
In addition to his band, Vince is also a member of The Rick Lewis Project, featuring a variety of Denver’s top musicians.
His 2023 album release, Vince Converse and Friends, is a rock-infused, classic blues collaboration that will leave you wanting more. In June of 2023, he was featured on the album, Texas Scratch, featuring Jim Suhler and Buddy Whittington.tem description
